$134.99? Canāt we buy the just-released AirPods Pro 3 for $199 on the current Apple deal? Yes we can, because I did.
But these are worth it unless you see the relatively minor differences to be worth the $65 extra. Had I seen this coming, Iād of waited and upgrade from Airpods Pro to Pro 2, and waited for the next generation to upgrade beyond that.

Itās not a deal , youāre still paying for $249 worth of stuff. $199 earbuds and a $50 gift card is still $249. If anything all it does is forces you to a different type of card when paying. This earbuds are still good for those who want to enjoy the apple ecosystem and integration for a good price. People with higher budgets will explore the AirPods Pro 3 or similar, and others will go into the lower budget area with CMF.

Current AirPod Pro 2 owner - ānot feeling the pull to AirPod Pro 3 at this point, even if they were available at the used to be āstreet priceā of $169 for the Pro 2.
My key use case - while my hearing tests out fine, I have great difficulty discerning conversations in noisy environments like restaurants and bars. The FDA has blessed the Pro 2 (and 3) for over the counter hearing assistance. You run through a standard hearing test interaction on your iPhone. I find they do help with understanding conversations in noisy environments. A no-brainer purchase now that I have validated that.
Bonus - unlike all my other Bluetooth earbuds, these transition from iPhone to iPad to MacBook, completly seamlessly. They happen to also work fine with my Windows laptop.
