I bought a pair at the University HUB Lost & Found sale a couple of weeks ago for $95 (regular AirPods were $60).
I also bought a pair of the Samsung Galaxy Buds (original version 2019), for $20 at the sale.
The Apple Pro buds sound MUCH better - plus the features tied to other Apple devices make them well worth it for iPhone & Apple Watch owners. The fit of all Apple earphones has never been great for me though (and I have not had the chance to try the other sized ends (the person who lost them was not good enough to lose the other ends too!.. which are proprietary, of course!), nor third party alternatives), but the in-ear ends are much better for me, but still not perfect, so that is my only negative. Wireless charging works great with the case.
As for the Galaxy Buds, tinny sounding at the App for the newer versions does not work with them. They work fine for Audable books, but no Active noise cancelling.
I love these things. They are, imo, the best in ear sound, and the noise canceling feature allows me to almost enjoy having to do things that I seriously dislike… you know, grocery shopping, the mall, (anywhere there are people?).
I “lost” my first first pair to my son. I lost one bud by not putting it back in the case the second I took it out of my ear and the corgi got it.
I couldn’t solve the former, but, to solve the latter, I picked these up on the mothership.

I lost my AirPods pro while skiing in the side country, out of my pocket, in Jackson Hole. Strangely no one ever got close enough to them with an iPhone for me to “Find my” 
I didn’t miss them even though I enjoyed the features, ANC, pairing etc, because the fit was never as comfortable as I would have liked. I use my gen 2 AirPods on a daily basis and they are good enough and I have Bose QC25 for airplane/car rides, over ear ANC trumps in-ear ANC
