soon to be obsolete but still expensiveeee
For $60 more you can get a 13 with the same storage direct from Apple.
If you are spending over 500 on a phone and can’t another 60 you should probably looking at something more affordable.
I just can’t see any reason to purchase this phone.
Wow that’s still a lot.of.money for a model thats what 3 years old ? Woots seems to be the reason it’s still so expensive ?
Woot $499 with 64GB storage. Might work fine for minimal storage users, but would be crowded for many.
Woot $539 with 128GB storage. Direct from Apple new iPhone 13 with 128GB and a generation newer A15 cpu (each gen typically adds a year of iOS updates) is $599.
Using Apple’s $100 step ($100 less than current, still sold, $599 iPhone 13) for each generation when they’re still being sold might seem logical, but in the case of the iPhone 12, when the iPhone 13 was released it did not make sense due to the iPhone 13 starting with 128GB. As a result, the iPhone 12 was a poor value even when still sold by Apple once the iPhone 13 was released. $499 seems steep for a phone that Apple discontinued with the release of the iPhone 15 last fall.
PRICE DROP on the 64GB models!!! If you purchased at the prior high price, no need to cancel and reorder. We’ll be issuing refunds for the price drop amount to your method of payment in the next 3-5 business days.
Rather than comparing wth new from Apple, take a look at the Apple Certified Refurbished section of their online store. I’ve heard many times that “they’re indistinguishable from new,” receive new batteries and case/chassis.
I’m typing this on a Cert Refurb MBA 13" M2 and can corroborate those other reports. Granted, “new” is new, but for something that’s three versions behind, I wouldn’t expect iOS updates for a long, long time. You’ll want to put this into active use IMHO.
Heck i have a iphone 14 for sale…475
Refurbished iPhone 12 with 128 GB is 489 on Apple refurbished. As you mentioned I think you still get the proper warranty and a new battery.
Is there a way to cancel my order I made about 40 minutes ago?
Yes, from the order history page.
(Please note: I don’t work for Woot, I just volunteer to help out here on the forums.)
Where might that be?
thank you for info. my son may be on search for new/newer iPhone. with some digging im sure I would eventually figure this out on my own but saves me time.
