Almost the entire top is a touch surface , but macOS currently only supports a couple of gestures. If macOS supported more, this would be a versatile mouse, but at present meh.
Those who complain about the charging port on the bottom, don’t point out that you have plenty of warning before it runs empty, and only 15 minutes charging will get you through the end of the day at which point you can charge it overnight. Design wise there’s a reason the charging port is on the bottom.
