This remote is much better than the earlier gens. It was worth the upgrade price to us. If you’re considering a spare, don’t get an earlier version to save $10. The swipe feature is much easier than hitting the buttons over and over.
1 year ago this same remote was on sale (woot) for 35$, one year later one gen older now its 44$ and doesnt justify price
