These are not $699 retail. It’s a good price from what I can tell they’re about $300 retail.

Read Amazon reviews, not impressed, before deciding to spend your money. Better option for $60 with much better Amazon reviews:
Soundcore Life Q30 by Anker, Hybrid Active Noise Cancelling Headphones with Multiple Modes, Hi-Res Sound, Custom EQ via App, 50H Playtime, Comfortable Fit, Bluetooth, Multipoint Connection

to be completely fair, a lot of the negative amazon reviews are making fun of the faceguard and the old price point.

none of the competitors even offer the air purification, and you can just not use it. Without that, how does the quality compare to other ANC headphones at the 199 price point? I don’t know the answer to this question.

I have a pair of these, and I love them (for the headphones - I’ve only ever tried the mask once for funsies, then never again)… Once an EQ is in place, these easily compare well to many other good wireless sets. I also have some of the last gen Sony XM4 (two gens back), and while the ANC doesn’t behave quite the same, they offer a very good give/take proposition for anyone who doesn’t want pay for $300+ competing devices.

I will not do these the disservice of comparing them to my “audiophile” gear, like wired Hifiman, Meze, Sennheiser equipment. They serve different purposes, and I can play happily in both places, as long as I have the right tool for the setting.

For some context, we have seen plenty of additional comments in prior sales, including references to Crinacle, who is one of the foremost audio authorities for sound quality in headphones and IEMs (earbuds, or In-Ear Monitors). He was pleasantly surprised by the sound. Other tech reviews have gotten distracted by the mask, but sound is pretty solid for what these are. And build quality is stellar.

Short version: Generally, people have really liked these quite well. And the companion app, like the one for Sony, really helps make these great.

I actually own the Q30 which are great but in my opinion, they don’t compare to my Dyson Zone headphones. The ANC on the Dyson Zones are excellent compared to the Q30 which are good but not on the same level as the Dyson’s. The build quality on the zone feels far superior to my Soundcores as well. For a day I traded my Dyson Zones for a friend’s Bose Quiet comfort. While his Bose provided more comfort during extended listening, we both agreed, the Dyson headphones provided a more complete sound (mostly listened to some heavy bass tunes, some instrumental jazz, etc.) People knock the gimmicky air filtration system (which is a battery killer) and something I have no interest in using.
As for music listening, I feel these are a great value at this price.
Note: I’m not an audiophile, my opinion is subjective and you like what you like. Just sharing my honest opinion and your milage might vary.

These are taking forever to ship out. I ordered them exactly two weeks ago and they’re still not shipped.

Considering that my original order was part of the mis shipped ones, and that shipped out within a day, this is taking an unreasonably long time.

I ordered them day before yesterday and have them already

all you people pooh-poohing these are actually poo-pooing yourselves. It is shown scientifically (and I don’t want to even think about the peer review, but salute them) that carbon filters are effective against flatus odors.

so on our next plane flight back from our frijole refrito tour, while your face contorts in agony, I will be sleeping like a baby with my mask on, farting in my sleep.

That is a very honest, complete review.
Thank you.

These are gray market items. They are likely made by Dyson, and are serialized at the factor for sale in countries other than the USA. In this particular case, per a frustratingly long conversation with Dyson support, these Dyson Zone headphones are intended only for sale in China and Australia, meaning that if they are sold in the US, they are not covered by Dyson warranties. In earlier sales postings, the headphones were listed with a 2-year Dyson warranty, which would not be correct. Please, note that these are clearly listed with the 90-day Woot warranty.

US serial numbers have “US” in them; these have “XD” in the serial numbers.

FWIW…the sound quality and ANC is fantastic in these independent of the filtering feature, which does actually work.
