RIP EPOS Audio Gaming.
Honestly, the Game One was a fantastic headset. It features the same driver as the Sennheiser HD 599, except tuned with a bit more brightness and air up top; consequently, I prefer it for gaming AND music and movies over the HD 599, for way less money. It makes Astro headsets sound like they should cost no more than $30. All the foam and velour is real comfortable too, less sticky and “hard” feeling than leather/pleather. One tip after owning a headset like this for 6 years: DON’T use the volume wheel, turn it up to max and don’t even touch it after that, if you use it eventually it will develop a short and you’ll have to wiggle it to get audio to play out of both earcups.
The more expensive Game Zero compromised a lot of SQ due to its sealed-back design: if you NEED a closed headset, then that’s what the Zero was for, but for pure sound quality (and comfort) I would pick the Game Zero any chance I could.
