(NEW) Fitbit Sense Advanced Smartwatch

If this the Sense 2 or the original?

Hello. It’s the original.

The difference between 2 and 1. The original Sense has access to third-party apps like Spotify and Starbucks, can control music on your phone, has WiFi and can interact with Google Assistant and Sense 2 does not.
Sense 1 came out 2020 and $200

Any comments on durability? Would this hold up for any length of time on a job site for example? I do volunteer work and work with lumber, power tools, etc. I’d like to track my heart rate, but expect most smart watches to get super scratched up way too quickly. I don’t want to have my phone on me just to tell the time, but most standard watches don’t track BPM unless it’s some crazy amount of money, or way too bulky.

I bought the Charge 3 back in 2019, but I wacked it against something accidentally after a few months and the screen had a few blank lines on it after that. The band started to separate from the connector piece, too. I was pretty underwhelmed considering how much it cost.

I have a Garmin vivofit HR I got a few years ago and it’s taken quite a beating and held up, and no extra subscription required. I think the vertical and curved form factor make it less subject to damage. It’s not colorful or pretty but works well. You may get able to still find new ones. I paid under $100

Bought new, had one of these for about 16 months. It got stuck in a power cycle loop & fitbit tech support admitted it couldn’t be fixed, admitted it wasn’t a physical problem, and then said I could get 30% off if I bought a new one. Same thing happened to my partner’s a couple months later. Don’t buy this unless you don’t mind it being software designed to brick in under two years.

I’ve never had a fitbit (3 different models) last me more than 18 months. Unfortunate because I loved them while they worked.

Thanks for the info. I’ll give that a looksee!

I had 2 fitbits die and one got recalled. Still on my first Apple Watch. It’s 2 years old and no issues yet.

I have a Sence and love it. It saved my life when it alerted me I had A fib attack. 2 years old and still working fine.

The Ionic? I’ve been buying them and trading them in.
