Sorry… No sd card slot. No deal.
Waiting for the day we have 1TB phones and people say “No SD card. no deal”. This is a pretty good deal. Considering 20 days ago it was listed at $599.99 on woot.
The only Google phone including Nexus to have an SD slot was the original Nexus. No other Nexus and none of the pixels have ever had them.

How much storage do you actually need? My 128GB Motorola Edge 2022 has PS2, PSP, and GBA ROMs on it along with photos, games, my work stuff on the work partition, and lots of other stuff… and is only 2/3rds full. If you need more storage, get a USB-C external drive and copy files back and forth. Makes me wonder if SD card guy drives a giant, 7 passenger SUV just to drive (alone) to the store to pick up some milk.
People that think they need an SD card in their new phone in 2023 need to remember it’s a PHONE. Get a laptop or PC that’s meant for more storage and heavier use that uses hard drives if you need that kind of storage.

You’d have to go through a different retailer to do a Trade-in.
Alternatively, you could sell your device on Swappa or eBay.

Google Store will give you $200 in trade for a Pixel 5a in good condition on a Pixel 8 Pro 256. That would bring the cost down to $659.
Is this device OEM (Bootloader) unlocked, or only carrier unlocked?

(Assuming that the inventory is still available, paying $10 for the top tier would be a great deal, especially with 10% of the purchase given back as Google Store credit.)

My 128gb phone is 95% full and my 128gb SD card is 75% full, it’s a matter of a couple months until it’s all full for me.
Exactly. Some people really do need more storage space. I do. We’re all different. That’s a feature, not a bug.
If my LG battery didn’t bloat I wouldn’t need a new phone at all.
