(NEW) HORI Flight Stick Designed for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC

Note:

  1. Right-handed/biased controllers. No ambidextrous option, as in real life.

  2. This thing is HUGE! 12” tall, it even comes with a 1”-thick rubber “booster seat” to rest the edge of your [right] hand on.

  3. There are several buttons/controls that are “non-functional (Decorative Purposes Only)” buttons/controls on both stick and throttle. I may cry “foul” and return it on that aspect alone.

  4. Infuriatingly, NO INSTRUCTIONS AND VERY FEW OPTIONS. Only a single page naming all of the controls/button assignments - but absolutely no way to alter their configuration, which differs from the XBox controller, inexplicably rotated on a 90-degree angle from a real controller. No reasonable need for this bizarre design implementation.

  5. The ONLY UNEXPLAINED USER OPTION IS:
“Toggle between FLIGHT, PAD, or PC modes”
That never describe what differences there are between these selections.

  6. THERE IS NO MANUFACTURER WEBSITE.
    No available support.
No full-page PDF of the unlabeled button layout to help make it easier to learn the questionable button placement.

The only possible option for support appears to be a refund from Woot because there is no visible means of support for this product.

The one upside? It appears robust enough to stand-up to gaming - from the outside. But I bought this for its potential to enhance controllability (over a $50 controller), which in my lifetime has never involved fake buttons on anything I’ve operated in 55 years of operating civilian and military aircraft & vehicles.

Can anyone offer a valid reason for imitation buttons? It’s not like they’re trying to emulate a specific set of controls.
