- Speed & Responsiveness: Amazon claims the 12th gen is up to 25% faster. In practice, navigating menus, opening books, and typing on the 12th gen feel significantly snappier and less sluggish compared to the 11th gen.
- Lighting: Both models include an adjustable warm light, but the 12th gen’s backlight is a bit brighter with a more natural, less bluish tone.
- Design: The 12th gen is slightly thinner, features more rounded corners, and has a slightly more flush bezel. It also comes in different color options. Note that because it is slightly wider, old 11th-gen cases will not fit.
- Battery Life: Both offer exceptional battery life, but the 12th gen edges out slightly, offering up to 12 weeks per charge compared to the 11th gen’s 10 weeks.
