This is a great price and an example of deflation. I paid 170.00 on Woot for version I in Nov 2020. Gave it as a gift. Nice quality looking equipment. Sound was bit bassy. Maybe they corrected that with this one.
I bought one of these on a previous sale too. I do not find it as overly bassy but I would agree that it is a very nice looking stereo Bluetooth speaker.
Also have. Very nice. Has a cool retro feel. Fantastic sound for it’s footprint, and you can really crank it.
Paid $79 for one of these a couple years ago at one of the warehouse clubs. Ended up selling it at the same price to a buddy who also bought one and wanted a second one.
I really liked the clean sound, but it didn’t have quite as “Klipsch-crisp” mid’s and highs as Klipsch is known for. Very nice on acoustic instrument and classical music.
Much bigger sound than you’d expect from a speaker this size, but very directional. Not an ideal speaker for filling a room - better on a desk where you can properly orient it for fixed position listening.
We needed a speaker we could run off-grid on 12 VDC but this one had a wall wart outputting 20 VDC. Otherwise we probably would have kept it.
Definitely not worth $300, but $135, perhaps if your use case fits.
I don’t have one yet, but if you’re like me and like to rock out in the kitchen while you cook, I think this would be perfect. The reviews are mostly positive, and it has that cool vintage look that the Klipsch Heritage line is known for. It’s definitely way better looking than your average black, plastic take to the beach kind of BT speaker.
