ThinQ some strange branding. My LG G8x have technically had that branding and maybe the v60 as well I can’t remember.
If this had Dolby vision and atmos - id be all over it.
It will pass Dolby Atmos over HDMI to a soundbar. As for Dolby Vision, it doesn’t have it but it does have HDR10. I dunno, for $500 I think it’s a great deal if you’re looking for a 75 inch TV.
500 bucks for a 75” TV is a steal as long as you don’t need its 2015 software. If you have the space and a streaming box? For sure!
Ordered this twice and neither time has it shipped yet! Please ship my order!
Oh no! Have you reached out to Customer Service yet?
Ordered this twice and was cancelled by Woot with no explanation. Yes I did reach out to customer service and no reason or response received.
Ordered one as soon as I saw it been looking for a larger tv for a while its a beast for movies you can see all the dust and particles flying through the air
Ordered this and it showed up 2 days later. Delivered by Amazon truck with 2 guys carrying the TV. Great service!
Actually this TV updated to the latest WebOS version a couple days after I got it. Definitely not from 2015. I like it much better than the $50 Walmart AndroidTV streaming box which came out last year. It seems to do all the things the AndroidTV box did but with a slicker user interface.
Same situation here. Ordered it they waited a week and then canceled it with no reason offered.
The TV arrived few days ago, I paid to have it mounted (it’s HEAVY – was not able to lift it alone). Worked great at first, I got it set up with my Roku and some streaming services built in. Two days later, the TV started spontaneously rebooting when I was using streaming apps or casting to the TV. Then it went into a reboot cycle and wouldn’t stop. Then it wouldn’t turn on at all even after I unplugged for a few hours and then reconnected. Now it turns on by itself and then shuts back off. I’ve taken the batteries out of the remote and removed all HDMI connections and disabled Bluetooth/Wifi wakeup when it stayed on long enough for me to get to the settings, so it’s not anything external causing it to turn off and on.
Contacted LG directly – they had me send a bunch of photos of the screen to check for damage and said they’d schedule a repair technician within 5-10 business days and demanded the TV be unmounted before repair (at my expense). No mention of refund or replacement.
If a deal seems to good to be true, it just might be.
Weird. Mine rebooted a few imes, but it quickly flashed a “Do Not Unplug” graphic so I assumed it was doing an update, which it was. Maybe you missed it and unplugged it while it was updating? I could see how that would cause major issues.
As for being too heavy to mount/unmount by yourself, I agree. This TV is a lot heavier than the 65-inch it replaced. I could mount/unmount the 65-inch by myself but definitely needed my wife’s help with the new 75 inch.
That’s a good thought, but I never unplugged the TV while it was on or active – the reboots started on their own while the TV was on. I did perform a software update once everything was set up and the update appeared to install fine (this was a day before the reboots started).
