If only this had 16gb of RAM. The Ryzen chip I believe has better performance and battery life than the Intel variant.
Can never be upgraded either, ram soldiered onto the motherboard.

Gonna have to side with most everyone else so far… If a manufacturer is going to try to sell me a laptop with soldered ram they had best offer a ton of it at a better than reasonable price. I find the entire practice of non-upgradability abhorrent. I tend to keep my machines until the smoke comes out of them and repurpose older devices either for myself, work, or friends and family. There’s an old i3 all in one “upgraded” to 10 sitting on the kitchen table showing videos to my elderly mother and an old i7 Mac mini (the last of the upgradable models) connected to her TV in her bedroom for the same purpose. She’s already burned through a couple of my older laptops used for the same purpose. Just recently I saved a friend’s company database with an old P4 I had as he didn’t have any period hardware capable of running the tape drive from his old server that died. OK, so maybe that last one qualifies me as an equipment hoarder…
I’m going to have to return it as it won’t complete the set up.
