(NEW) Motorola Moto G Stylus 5G - 4/128GB (2023) (Unlocked)

Since it was Screenshot 2025-08-30 at 3.27.46 PM that’s the reason it likely came quick.

I owned the Motorola Stylus 2021 and the 2024.

I also owned an iPhone 13 Pro and for the money the Motorola stands up pretty good with the later release.

If this phone is the Moto G Stylus 5G 2023 is close to the 2024 model you will be very pleased with the performance.

The 2021 model was a joke, had to think twice about going with Motorola again but it paid off with new features.

I bought one of these last year as a back up phone. The primary purpose, though, is to run the app to control my hearing aids. I found trying to use my “phone” phone was annoying since any time calls or notifications came through they would override whatever I was actually listening to. My model only has 64g storage which is fine for the few apps I actually want on the device. I just went into my apps to see what is on the thing and there is a lot of bloatware taking up space.

They have consistently provided security updates and also updated to android 14 last winter.
I expect to keep this device as long as it will run the apps I need.

You get the version from 2024 you can probably find it for a hundred bucks from a prepaid carrier or maybe like 150 or 60 from Amazon renewed. That has 8 GB of RAM 256 gigs of storage OLED. The newest one even has 67 w fast charging although it’s no cheaper than 250 usually.

These images are noisy and have compression artifacts if you view them full size. I don’t expect any phone to rival the quality of a traditional dslr or mirrorless camera. I don’t know how many people actually print photos from their phone, I’m assuming that not many do. For on screen viewing, most mid rage cameras are going to be just fine. I have owned pixels and i was never blown away by the output.

Not all of us have or want to carry a DLSR.

The images shared are just .jpg versions. Down graded from RAW. They are better than the Nikon and Minolta SLRs I used to use with their branded lenses.

The original images are in RAW @ 3072x4080 pixels which is modest, but works for me to have in pocket at all times. The sunset was never meant for blowing up as a print. In fact, is pixilated because it was 1/3 the jpg image AND taken through glass in the Seattle Space Needle so has artifacts from fingerprints.

Since I have a Pixel 3a, I get to store higher rez images for free. I keep a few jpg on phone. RAW consumes too much memory.

The Pixel 8 Pro can capture 50 megapixel RAW files.

This works well enough for me (jpg) and rivals some images I have seen in https://m.dpreview.com/

Hey there,

Just to clarify, these images came from the Motorola being listed on @Woot here now?

Thanks!!

No, sorry this was a response to bbqpope about a 5 year old Pixel 3a. I have a Motorola Stylus 2021 from Woot. The 2023 being sold currently is significantly better.

But the camera in the 3a has been rated quite good. Better than the Motorola Stylus 2021. Compared favorably to an iPhone 11 pro in image quality in digital photography write ups and in comparison with that owned by my child’ as a prior phone. I shared 3 images. These were lower jpg versions. The phone is able to record in far higher RAW format by default does both.

BTW - viewing on phone and using fingers to pinch and zoom in, will introduce pixilation not seen in the original.

Either way, I’m happy.
