Heads up: Switch 2 is announced. This will be last-gen within the year

I give it less than a year. I’m placing my bet on a summer release. Probably no later than July.
This is a great deal if you want a Switch anyways and don’t care about the 2 coming out in, at minimum, another 3-4 months.

I heard lots of April hype before the announcement, but that was probably people getting word of the direct/demos. I’m guessing summer too. It would be wild to release while the demos are running or immediately after the direct. But who knows with Nintendo. They’ve been known to release alarm clocks when people expect consoles, so…

Even if you’re just a fan of money - I believe the MSRP for the OLED alone is $350. Add a $60 game and a full year of the online membership and it’s a steal. Hell, sell the game online for $40 if you don’t want it and save even more. If I didn’t already have one I would be buying this.
Edit: that is the MSRP but Walmart appears to sell it (console only) for $280 at times. Still, this is saving you at least $100 either way.

They released a schedule of events where people can play it before launch and I think one of those is in April, so…
My younger kid saw the announcement on his Switch and it said April 2 as the release date
April 2nd is the day they are holding a Nintendo direct presentation to show it off more and announce games

April 2nd is the day they’ll have an event to talk about the console. That’s probably when they’ll announce a release and/or pre-order date
