Give It To Me Want GIF by Mashed

Listing says it includes “USA Power Adapter”, so this will function 100% identically to any console made for the US. My Switch OLED is technically an Italian model, but I’ve had no issues using it as my main system for years.

wonder if this is hackable?

You know… just for educational purposes.

Anything is a hackable if you’re brave enough.

It’s 100% brickable, if that’s any help.

So im traveling for work and i want to play switch games with my wife and kiddo, will the international version prevent me from doing so? What are the caveats to it?

Only thing that could possibly give you problems with an international one is the power adapter which has apparently already been replaced and warranty claims. I’ve never needed to send in an intentional or domestic switch for repair so I have no idea but from what I’ve read Nintendo is a lot more forgiving on that than most phone manufacturers regarding honoring warranties on foreign market devices. My son has been using his Japanese Pokemon edition switch for 3 years without an issue. Only extra step that I remember was that we had to scroll down to American English as the language on the very first screen of setup. After that there has been no discernable difference.

There are two main issues

  1. https://en-americas-support.nintendo.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/22283/~/nintendo-switch-regional-compatibility-faq#s1q5

  2. Nintendo will not service your console even if you offer to pay if it’s not from the same region.

Feel free to correct me.

Please show us on a map where “International” specifically is. Not you @powerslave12r … One would assume (don’t go there) that wherever you register an international product that’s the country that you would receive warranty service.

As long as you’re travelling “internationally” you’re good.

I got mine in the mail a few days ago and everything is good :+1:

I received mine days ago and it arrived as if Ace Ventura himself kicked it all the way from Florida (origin) with my package.
