320-32 = less than 300 then? Am I understanding that right?

Jeez, I’m torn. I’ve been holding out for switch 2 for 2 years now and its probably announcing this summer… but the drift on my current lite is bad to the point of unplayability. I straight up can’t play 2D scrollers

Woot caps the max discount at $20 for the 10% off

At this point you may as well wait for the Switch Pro.

$20 maximum.
It’ll be 1¢ less than $300.

So I see my conclusion of “under 300” was right, but the math was wrong. Yay, I love correct conclusions from wrong premises.

I mean, that’s probably a part in it. The full-up went out first and then full-right, which are probably my two most common directions. But not gonna ignore the fact that only my Switch Lite has this problem. Like, my gamecube controller may not have its joystick pad anymore and might stab me, but it still works fine for inputs.

They’re absolutely not going to lower this price closer to 199.99

Absolutely. You may find a used one around $200 right now but Nintendo is going to squeeze every last profit from the Switch. The OLED model will likely go on "sale"in November for $300, possibly with a game included if they’re feeling generous. Then right before the “Switch 2” drops next spring, they will probably drop the MSRP across the board for the older models.

My personal predictions for 2025 are:

Switch 2 (“Super Nintendo Switch”) - $399 ($449 for larger storage option), launch window between mid-March and April

Switch OLED - $299 up until release of Switch 2, then $249 after launch

Switch (Original) - $249 for BF 2024 bundle w/free game or two, then $199 after Switch 2 launch to clear remaining inventory

Switch Lite - $149 MSRP for end of this year, then $99 during Black Friday 2025

I’m guessing they’ll keep the OLED and Lite models to sell alongside the new Switch, announcing new color options and bundles with older games throughout the year. Switch 2 may have two color variants at launch, but likely no special editions or bundles until 2026 at the earliest.

I picked up a used base model on the bay for $120. Needed a new button but otherwise great condition.

Nope, I stopped buying on eBay since they allowed feedback manipulation. In the early days feedback was 100% accurate, now it means nothing.

Buy on Ebay, feedback manipulated. Buy on Amazon, reviews faked. Buy on vendor’s direct website, they control everything. Research online, astroturf advertising. There’s fewer and fewer resources to know what’s legit anymore

I personally buy smaller electronics on Swappa.
