What happened to the days when hot water heaters, home air conditioners, refrigerators, vacuums, etc. came with a 7-12yr standard warranty without some sort of third-party insurance plan. Manufacturers just simply design products for premature failure constantly keeping consumers on the line for repeat purchases.
