I can see that some of the products say that they are refurbished, so the discounted price on Woot makes sense. But some products don’t say that they are refurbished, implying they are new. However, for these presumed new products it will also say that it comes with a 90-day warranty. Since the manufacturer’s warranty is 1 year or more, this implies that the product is NOT new. So, what’s the deal? Are products on Woot that do not say “refurbished” in the description, new? If so, why is the warranty only 90 days? And if they are truly new, how can Woot sell them for such a massive discount?
Until I get a reasonable answer to these questions, I am reluctant to purchase anything on Woot.
The item condition and warranty is listed in each sale. Sometimes there is an optional extended warranty available.
The manufacturer will not honor a Woot warranty. Why would they? But if the item is listed with a 1-year manufacturer’s warranty then the manufacturer would honor their own warranty.
Item condition is listed under the price. If it’s missing, or the warranty information is missing, just leave a note in the associated forum thread for that item. Staff will add the info asap.
