Alright which woot staff member opened one of these up and took a Pic of the warranty brochure for the item listing ![]()
Selling like hotcakes!
I wish my DualSense Edge had a 40 hour battery life. It gets 6-8 hours. At least I know when to take a break.
This controller is garbage. You WILL get stick drift on this controller within a year. I’ve owned 2. The PDP Victrix BFG is the only controller to buy these days.
You’ve been warned.
I LOVE these controllers. Totally worth it. Never had stick drift on them but the bumper buttons go like on all Xbox controllers as of recent. Luckily they have the year warranty to where you can send it in and get it fixed for free. Usually pretty quick
I got an open box one in a recent BOC. I’ve been trying to sell it on OfferUp (since I don’t have an Xbox.) My brother helped me test it to see if it works and he said it’s really nice. Guess I need to lower my price since these were selling new cheaper than my open box and it sold out quickly. Haha.
For a moment I thought maybe a console was on sale. ![]()
Got mine today and it was less than “New”. It had been obviously opened prior to shipping. It was missing the usb-c cable, and one of the thumb sticks was for the Elite 1 controller and doesn’t fit this one.
And I almost forgot the best part - there is a plastic ring around one of the thumb stick enclosures that just fell off. I was able to snap it back into place but it doesn’t give a good feeling about this purchase of a “new” controller.
I think you were sent the wrong item, CS will help you out. Here’s the blurb.

Also got mine today. Can concur with above that I also did not receive a new controller. Open box/used at best. The seals on the box were cut/missing/peeled/scratched away. Inside small details of packaging were missing or wrong such as a small fabric buffer between the controller and charging block. Also the wrong sticks were installed. I have three of these already bought new so I know how they come.
The one I received is also probably fairly old stock, 3+ years, as the newest revisions of this controller (less prone to button problems) have a green dash on the outside of the front of the box under the, “Elite Series II,” title in the lower left.
Edit: Just noticed the serial number on the box doesn’t match the controller inside so fully confirmed not new.
Yes, will be contacting customer service just thought I would comment to see if this is an issue with all of these or just a few mistakes.
Definitely glad to see another person with the same issue. I heard back from customer support and will be returning it. There was the option for them to reach out to the vendor for a replacement but it sounds like all were probably used anyway. I was also offered $35 to keep it, but I have seen cheaper elsewhere for used (and have everything that is supposed to come with it).
Same issue for me as others have posted. No seals on box. Controller is obviously used. Thumbsticks have wear marks. There is dirt and grime all over the controller (nasty). At least the serial number matches the box. I will be contacting customer support.
Y’all have me all worried now. Mine came in and the same as they said, no seals on the box but you can clearly see that it should be and they were removed. The controller itself looks fine though but I’m scared because of these other posts.
HELLO. About the controllers…
Per the vendor, all are new but some may have the seal broken and have been opened.
If however, you don’t feel that yours was new, reach out to customer service as noted above.
I bought one of these as well and had the same issue as it sounds like others had. All seals were completely removed (though the residue remained) and the controller was clearly used and fabric charger cover torn off and dirty and buttons were rearranged. You can check the warranty by registering it to your Xbox/Microsoft account. The one-year Microsoft limited manufacturer’s warranty on the one I bought had expired back in January 2023. I guess it wouldn’t bother me as much with other items, but I’ve had to use the Microsoft warranty for other controllers, so not having a warranty is a huge deal breaker no matter the price, especially on a controller that has already been used for a couple years.
I went the contact the vendor for possible replacement route, but now I think I might just do the full return if the vendor is trying to pass off this many used units as new. ![]()

Yeah this is wild!
I want to say thanks @Wooter224313479
I checked the warranty after I read your comment because no matter what the vendor says they are NOT new
Sigh, I wanted to believe it was new, I was holding out hope but I checked mine too and it’s also old.
This is extremely disappointing.
reach out to CS as noted above. It doesn’t appear to be a mass issue thankfully but some did slip in.
