FWIW, this is NOT an ice cream maker. Rather, you make the ice cream yourself, involving cooking at times, and freeze what you’ve made for about 24 hours. Then you put the ice cream you’ve made into the machine and this macine then processes it down into an ice cream texture for you.
Have you never made ice cream? All home ice cream makers require you to temper the “batter” before you put it in the machine, so that’s to be expected. What this does differently is it saves you having to wait for a machine to churn the ice cream, freeze a core (if your machine has a core), or provide ice and rock salt. This is a much easier and more efficient process, especially for those with limited freezer space. Everyone has room for a pint of ice cream in their freezer, not everyone has room for a large core that needs to be frozen.
Bought it. Was totally excited. Put a couple mangos in one pint container, and canned pineapple with syrup into another.
Slept. Woke up excited to have ice cream.
I plug in the Ninja Creami, press power, and… nothing. No lights. Nothing.
I switch power outlets. Nothing.
I press the power button a long time. I press it quickly. I press other buttons. I triple check my outlet.
Nothing.
Really disappointed, though I understand that sometimes this happens. But… it’s like really broke, amazingly nonfunctional. First time this has happened from woot or Amazon for me.
