I thought this game was digital only, but it seems like this is a physical cartridge?

I have the same question. It looks like you need to buy the deluxe edition that is more expensive if you want the cartridge.

This is most likely the European Region Free version. That version retails for $30 and includes a physical cartridge. Of course it will lack all the bonus items in the Deluxe version such as art cards, pins, and replica NES cartridge.

Hello. It’s a physical copy per our team.

I just received my copy. It’s a physical version without the deluxe edition extras. The region is Middle East/Southeast Asia. The spine matches all my North American spines unlike the European region spines. That being said the plastic case is slightly different on the side you open.

This is exactly what I’ve been looking for actually. I wanted a physical copy but without all the extra junk that comes with the deluxe edition (and without having to spend twice as much for the privilege).

Important note for local multiplayer purposes:

The cartridge code for this Middle East/Southeast Asia version is as follows:

LA-H-A82CA-MSE
(no ESRB/PEGI/CERO rating on box)

This currently appears to be the easiest to find English version of this title. If you don’t plan to do local multiplayer this cart code doesn’t matter. If you want the option, it’s a factor worth considering.

Typically, in order to do any multiplayer with friends, you all have to have the same cart region. There’s no online multiplayer aside from competing with online randos— meaning all true multiplayer is local network on one switch, or multiple switch consoles with the same cart.

Cart label codes for other regions:

North America (ESRB): LA-H-A82CA-USA
Japan/Asia (CERO/none): LA-H-A82CA-JPN

If a true UK/EU version exists (PEGI), it would be:
LA-H-A82CA-EUR
