Oh dang. I wish I’d known that before it sold out. THAT I would’ve been interested in. But like pepper, I thought it was just something to go at the bottom of the oven. Or possibly on the rack itself.

I still consider this one new. Someone baked a pie without putting a cookie sheet under it.
Oh, and that baking soda “hack” just gets white powder between the glass and in other places even the vacuum won’t get out.
What kind of pie did older you make?
(Or would it be considered younger you? Either one works, I guess.)
My oven is self-cleaning. Does anyone know how that works? I mean, for real and not joking?

I don’t like the ensuing smells produced as things burn though.
It depends on what type of self cleaning. One heats up super high and burns the crud off and the one I have uses steam. Both are kinda crappy. That steam doesn’t do much and the high heat will smoke you out of the house.
Ok, let me clarify. Can you tell me how to do the self-cleaning function, please?
All I know is there’s supposedly a shield to protect the window from cracking. And both knobs have a CLEAN setting.

I wouldn’t. Just use cleaner and wipe it off with a wet cloth. Or try to prevent a mess if you can.
I still say get a new oven.
Or use the self cleaning oven, and go to your second house while the first one is full of smells.
