For $9.99, this is an absolute steal.

To put it into perspective: this headset originally retailed for between $79.00 and $129.00 at Staples and other office suppliers (when it was originally released). At ten dollars, you are essentially getting a professional-grade business tool for the price of ā€œdisposableā€ airline earbuds.

Dont miss out on them. Don’t walk, Run for this deal!

Are you talking the Poly Voyager 4300uc or the NXT uc-4000?

I’m talking about the NXT UC-4000. While the Poly Voyager 4300 is a great wireless unit, it launched at a totally different price bracket ($209+). My point was about the sheer value of the NXT: it hit the market with a $129 MSRP and was a $79–$89 staple at Staples (see what I did there :joy:) and Quill for years.

Comparing the two is apples to oranges, but that’s exactly why $9.99 for the NXT is such a steal. You’re getting a UC-certified, enterprise-grade tool for the price of a sandwich. I’m very familiar with the Poly brand and their Voyager line, but I haven’t seen one for ten dollars! If you do, please let me know. But if you did need a reliable, corded workhorse that used to be a $100+ business expense, this is the ā€˜don’t walk, run’ deal.

We weren’t in the market for headphones but Spouse saw me looking at this and now he’s thinking about it. So thanks - I think.

I’m not 100% certain, but the shining finish on the ear pieces leads me to believe they are not a soft, comfy fitting ā€œmuffā€ style ear cup but more like hard plastic, which would be hard to sell at anything over $10. Mic pickup and sound output might be great but if they can’t be worn comfortably for hours on end, (like my 40 year old K**s ones can still be worn) then it’s a ā€œno way JosĆ©ā€ for me.

These actually come with an on-ear (binaural) design with cushioned pads, rather than a hard plastic surface resting directly against the ear.

But I digress, the respone seems like its gonna be a tough sell for alot of people  lmao

They look pretty good, both in terms of the descriptions and the forum comments. I vaguely remember these headphones, and @WootAllMighty 's comments refreshed those memories. I personally dislike headphones that physca!!y cover the entirety or bulk of the ear and result in sweaty ears during the warmer months. So, I bought a pair early last evening.

These are great wired headsets, we used to order these at the office, and only switched once they were no longer available at Staples. They are comparable to Jabra Evolve UC 20 headsets ($60 on Amazon Business), though I would argue more comfortable.

Just showed up and I received the UC-2000 model.
Anyone know the difference between uc2000 vs uc4000? Google wasn’t much help.

I received uc-2000. Any difference?

Mine is supposed to be delivered Saturday (03/21). I assume that I will have the same unfortunate result.

Online info says that there’s about a $10-20 difference in price between the two models depending upon the retailer.

Key Differences Breakdown

  • Best Scenario: The UC-2000 is geared towards environments requiring high focus, whereas the UC-4000 is a standard office headset for general call clarity.
  • Weight & Comfort: The UC-2000 is generally listed as lighter (0.56 lbs) compared to the UC-4000 (0.80 lbs), potentially offering better long-term comfort for all-day use.

Common Features

  • Design: Both are binaural (double ear) headsets with overhead headbands and ear cushions.
  • Microphone: Both feature integrated, adjustable noise-canceling microphones for clear outgoing audio.
  • Platform Compatibility: Both are compatible with major UC platforms, including Microsoft Teams and Zoom.
  • Controls: Both come with inline or on-ear controls for volume and muting.

Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) is superior for constant, low-frequency sounds like airplane engines or air conditioner hums.

Passive Noise Cancellation (PNC) , also known as noise isolation, is more effective at blocking out sharp, high-frequency sounds like human speech, typing, or clattering dishes.

Just curious. Are these coming from Woot! inventory or drop-ship from a vendor? I noticed that they’ve shipped UPS and out of DFW area.

Thanks again for your continued support.

This cheapest that I have seen the NXT Technologies UC-2000 model number NX55445 is $18.99 and the UC-4000 model number NX57974 for $22.79, both with free shipping on eBay. Of course, not known retailers.

Both versions have fairly positive reviews and originally had much higher MSRP.
