Thanks for the variety woot but I can get hamburgers and hot dogs at the grocery store for way less. I’d definitely consider something like this but not when much of the packages are just hamburgers and hot dogs!

If you look through your snail mail and find your ValPak (and if you have an Omaha Steaks in your geographic area), you can get a very similar deal for about $50-60. Yes it means you’ll have to drive there and pick it up, but only you can determine how much your time is worth. You’re paying for shipping, handling and packaging on this deal.

As for the meat, it’s good but not mind-blowing. I prefer going to my local market with a full butcher so I can request cuts just as I want them.

I have purchased from them before. They will spam you with follow up calls for the rest of your life to buy more product. Picture the salesman dude from pee-wee at your door only who now has your email and phone. I made my purchase a while ago direct using one of their promo code deals so I don’t know if it would be different through woot.

When I bought my house, the agent gave me a package similar to this as a thank you.

Honestly, it seems overhyped. The hamburgers didn’t taste as good as just buying fresh ground beef from the grocery store. The hotdogs were okay, but not as good as Applegate.

I guess the steak was okay for what it was, but it’s a sirloin, which is not something you would ever pick out if you’re looking for an amazing steak - it’s the cheapest cut.

Only real benefit is the vacuum seal so you can store them for long periods.

Like, real long.

A savvy shopper can find porterhouse on sale for less that $15/lb, fresh, never frozen.

THIS! Not only calls, but emails and mail flyers EVERY SINGLE DAY. The products are fine, but the company sucks, and they do not go away. Do not buy from them unless you are looking forward to being spammed for years.

How is this still a thing? You can get a standing rib roast for less per lb. at Costco.

Tommy: Hey, I’ll tell you what. You can get a good look at a butcher’s a… by sticking your head up there. But, wouldn’t you rather to take his word for it?

Had to.

So realistically it’s 4 steaks(5oz is not a steak), 12 burgers, and 4 dogs for a hundred dollars. It is very likely you can source better meat locally for cheaper and not spend the next 5 years of your life being hounded by these aholes.

I really think it exists only as a last resort kind of thing to ship someone as a gift. Like boxed fruit.
We buy very little red meat in our house other than Xmas. And when I do, I special order grass fed, grain finished from a local butcher and either make rib steaks or a rib roast on my Weber kettle.
