Mine arrived missing the drip tray, ice scoop, descaling powder and side tank clip.
The manual says to call GE for missing parts. GE says they don’t warranty items sold on woot. Woot says the ice maker is eligible for an Asurion warranty at extra cost of $45 after tax. Asurion does not cover parts that were missing upon delivery. Says I need to return it. Woot won’t send the parts. Says I need to return it.
The thing is heavy and bulky. Would be so much cheaper for everyone if they just sent the parts.
Woots warranty is only 90 days and this item is commonly reported to break so a warranty is a must. So just know you’ll be paying $45 for a warranty plus $50 for replacement parts. So add $100 to the cost of this thing and see if it still makes sense to buy from woot.
Amazon sells it refurbished as well. And the price on the new one is down right now.
Woot wouldn’t have the replacement parts. If you can find them on Amazon, maybe you can negotiate with Woot’s customer service for a partial refund. But there’s no guarantee it would happen.
(Please Note: I’m not employed by Woot, but I volunteer to help in the forums.)
