Origami 4 Tier Adjustable Shelf Rack - Black

I wouldn’t worry about the purchase. I have several Origami shelving products in the house, and they’ve all been solid, whether it’s a larger shelf in the garage, a smaller one on casters for the laundry/utility, or a smaller one like this in a bedroom.

This is a smaller shelf, as far as the dimensions of the depth, so it will not be ideal for massive storage (for instance, you likely shouldn’t be putting enormous 27-gallon bins on this). With only 14” to the shelf depth, I would suggest that the rated capacity of 80 lbs per shelf is likely far more than most people will be trying to fit. Yes, it’s only 50 per shelf, if the entire assembly is on casters, and even that is fine. For reference, Costco sells a SafeRacks metal stand that is made to accommodate up to five of those 27-gallon black/yellow behemoths, and even that product description says not to put on more than 50 lbs per bin. All told, I think that you’ll find these to be plenty sturdy.

And while there are dozens of previous sales that I could reference, for a variety of Origami shelves, here is just one previous one in which I commented on how reliable and sturdy they’ve been for me over the last decade or so that I’ve been building my collection of their products. It’s a different model, but the sentiments carry over for many customers.

Hope that helps.
