Does it expand to be a 10-person, waterproof, heated tent - with plumbing and a/c?
If not, I can’t possibly imagine what would make any backpack worth $1k.

Most back packs dont cost a thousand dollars. But most back packs can’t save your life in an avalanche so, you know, maybe someone wants to drop a grand to save their life.
#1 piece of information, unknown to me as I’m not a skier (though have never seen any backpack even close to that cost) was sufficient, without #2 piece of attitude and passive aggression.
