Path II Fly Rod Combo Kit 590-4

I ordered this after some research (but still lacking full information) and did not receive a “Path II” kit but simply a “Path” and also it was not clear that the combo or kit I was purchasing, was not a “Saltwater” kit, (at least the rod or butt of the rod). I did receive a 9 foot rod, that is supposed to be 5 weight, but it was not clear that this combo came with specifically a freshwater rod and reel, which is not meant for saltwater fly fishing, which most likely will be my main use in Florida waters.

The rod is the PATH, Redington doesn’t have a II version of this rod. The Path is a multi-application combo that’s ready to fish salt or freshwater conditions no matter the size. The saltwater specific versions, 890-4S and 990-4S, come with RIO saltwater floating line specifically made for saltwater fishing.

I see other websites like Bass Pro Shops, Dicks Sporting Goods, and Cabela’s calling it the Path II Outfit as well but it’s all the same item.

I understand about the “Path II” confusion. My main issue is, what I really wanted, was either Saltwater Combo Kit 890-4S or 990-4S and the designation or description just wasn’t there when I was trying to pick the right one. The Reddington box, that my combo arrived in, and your answer above, did make it clear that I hadn’t picked either of the Saltwater combos.

Is it possible to exchange my combo kit for either one of the Saltwater kits?
