This thing is plastic. You shouldn’t feed or water your pet with plastic, as it is porous and bacteria can get trapped in little scratches from wear and tear over time.
I bought a Pioneer Pet stainless drinking fountain for 35 bucks, and you don’t have to scour the internet for replacement filters before they just arent available anymore and you have a bacteria ridden water water feature.

What problem are we solving here? It’s not that hard to pour water into a bowl and my dog seems ok with that set-up.

Cats, especially males, seldom drink enough water for good urinary health. Flowing water is attractive to many of them.
