WARNING WARNING WARNING

The last time I purchased Hue bulbs from Woot, I received was very clearly NOT Hue bulbs (it had to have been someone else’s return that were resold). What was in the box were three LED light bulbs from various manufacturers (Walmart / GE).

Unfortunately, I waited to gift the bulbs to someone; it was INCREDIBLY embarrassing to find out that the bulbs were not real AND that Woot couldn’t help me (as I was past the return policy).

IF you purchase from this sale, OPEN THE BOX IMMEDIATELY to confirm that you’re not getting ripped off.

At the time of this writing, Amazon is listing these NEW for $29.99 from the Philips Hue Store. Only $3 more and it isn’t a return/refurb.

I can’t find where the Amazon listing states the product’s generation (which does matter), so I can’t be certain that this is a direct comparison.

I love my Hue lights; I have them in nearly every A19 fixture I own and I have several light strips, too. I think they provide the most aesthetically pleasing colors and most reliable connectivity when compared with the others I’ve tried: Kasa/TP-Link, GE, and Sylvania.

I just don’t think this is a great deal.

Only at checkout am I informed that these are not available to be shipped to California.

Is there separate CEC certified hue bulbs that I’m unaware exist; that I’ve been buying this entire time?

Yep, CA is restricted. We have list of products that are not allowed to ship various places due to local regulations. Apologies for the inconvenience.

Sent a response on the Phillips Light strip thread as well, but I wanted to make sure I addressed both threads. I’ve spoken to CS and because we have inventory on this same item CS can coordinate a replacement if you’re open to it. Just let me know and I can send that messaging to the CS team.

Thanks for reaching out; the last time I purchased Hue items from Woot! all I purchased was three color Hue bulbs. I did not purchase any strip lighting.

I appreciate whatever it is that you can do for me. If you’d like to send me some free strip lighting for my troubles, I won’t complain :grin:
