Very small and flimy. Have large hands? Avoid this! I had bought them previously just to return. Another sellout impulse purchase that I regretted once received. This might be good for a DIY single petite lady whom really is just dabbling in the kitchen here and there. Not one who actually will have constant contact with dull utensils.
I actually kinda like mine (different brand same basic design). It should be placed on a kitchen counter edge so it stays put laterally. See image below. It is not intended to press down very hard. Then run knife edge through metal cross pieces 5 to 8 times. Then same on ceramic cross pieces. For me, restored edges dulled edges so I could easily slice receipts as a test. Agree it is for light duty but similar designs but had 4.4/5.0 ratings on the mothership.
YMMV of course. Should use whetstones at 17 to 20 degree angles for more serious blade edge repair with a perhaps a 3000 sharpening stone and 8000 finishing stone if you want a great edge or restore a very dulled blade.
