Portable Wireless Doorbell: Your Choice

Portable Wireless Doorbell: Your Choice

Just to be clear, if I buy the 2-pack, am I getting 2 push buttons and 2 receivers that all work together, or 2 completely separate button/receiver sets that can’t interact?

Is the chime unit battery-powered or plug-in? The description says one thing, the specs another.

I ordered one of these months ago. I got two complete kits. I haven’t even opened them so not sure if they interact. But it was just two kits each wrapped separately.

I have stuff like that too.

Ooh I’m going to buy this. Shows up, still not used.

I did end up opening one today to give my kids something to do during a dreary afternoon. It works really well and is pretty cool. A great replacement for our hardwired and constantly broken doorbell. These are “pretty nifty” as my dad used to say back in about 1976. The speaker part is tiny, but still loud, and you can just carry it around the house to wherever you are. We tested it all over the place. The bell receiver runs on 3 AA batteries (not included). The button part just sticks up wherever outside with foam tape and a mounting plate or using two little metal screws. It has its own built in remote size battery. This is a cool solution if you have a broken doorbell or want to add a second bell that gives you the option of muting the bell, changing the tunes, turning it onto light flash only, or just bringing it with you to where you are. You can also turn it off entirely of course, and both parts can be mounted on a backing plate so you of course don’t lose them.

Sold out… Ya tease, Woot!

Very impressed with mine. As you might expect from a Honeywell product, it is definitely a quality item through and through. Well packaged, with great instructions. Awesome build quality. The only thing missing are the 3 AA batteries.

In today’s quickly evolving “smart home” ecosystem, one might think that devices such as this are passé, what with doorbells that capture video and sound. But an alert system like this might be appropriate for your uses, this is definitely worth consideration.

Has anyone gotten the “secret knock” function to work?

I haven’t. I can try and report back… is it in the manual?

Yes. Towards the end of the English instructions. I have tried multiple times and cannot get it to work.

No big deal. Would have been a “nice to have” but not worth sending back over.
