PROSCAN ELITE LEDVANCE Sylvania, Portable Speaker with Bluetooth

PROSCAN ELITE LEDVANCE Sylvania, Portable Speaker with Bluetooth

Just arrived. Unboxed to check it out. Bluetooth keeps disconnecting and reconnecting while playing music… over and over and over. Sent note to cs. I’ll see what they say.

Just got mine today, I guess I lucked out based on many of the Amazon reviews. I stuck it on our patio table while working around the yard, phone in my pocket. It never dropped the Bluetooth connection the whole time - until the battery died. Works good on FM (have to guess the station until they do an ā€œIDā€) as well as ā€œAUXā€. Not bad for $8 + free shipping.

Yeah, I read the reviews after I had the problem. Guess it happens with a few of them. I’m always curious to know if it is a problem with certain devices using a specific Bluetooth protocols or just a crummy receiver. Glad yours works well. The sound is decent and a steal at 8 bucks.

These are the first item I’ve bought on Woot that I’m not pleased with. I bought two of them on the Woot-off, just opened them today. Both only last about 1.25 hours on a full charge, and within about half an hour of the ā€˜end-time’, both start dropping the signal, especially at a ā€˜quiet point’ in the music. It’s a shame … the sound is actually pretty good compared to my laptop speakers, and even my TV speaker. Connecting to the TV was worse… half the time the people talking on TV sounded like they were under water. Oh well, there’s always a first time … I guess these will just go out in the trash. Oh, as a couple other people mentioned, ridiculously short charging cord, and it is proprietary. [EDIT] … Well, I assumed the second one was going to be bad like the first, but it’s been playing for 3+ hours now (music from the laptop). Still sounding good. It fooled me because it kept dropping for a second when there was virtually no sound / quiet break in the music. But it seems better now. Perhaps I’ll get one good one out of the pair :slightly_smiling_face:

Hi there. Make sure you reach out to customer service.

This was the buy of the event for me! (Although I did get a BoC) It’s big but it sounds great, haven’t run it out of juice yet, connects right away - no issues. More of a boom box than a bluetooth speaker and also has FM radio built in! I guess the cheapness manifests itself in inconsistent performance? Only complaint is the charging port is coax instead of USB but for $8 I’m happy!
