Reviews are looking pretty bad. Think I’m going to pass on this one. Glad I looked it up first, I was just about to get it.

Tempting, but not with 3 stars from Amazon and Walmart buyers. Would like a projector to watch movies with the kid and I don’t want to spend too much, but this doesn’t seem like it’s worth the gamble.

Just look at the specs, the resolution is 1/4 of old school SD TV.

That projector is so small and low resolution. If I sneeze, I’m afraid I’ll break it.

Let me just pull out the ol’ Atari…

I bought this one just to see if I actually wanted a projector, or if it was a passing fancy.

Verdict: Definitely passing fancy. That said, it is possible to use a Chromecast with this thing, which makes it useful for some folks. It’s not very bright and the resolution is super low. I could see this used for kids, to simulate a theater experience. It’s cheap. Have low expectations.

320x240 , perfect resolution for playing Doom and Doom 2 which were native at that resolution. Also would be pretty good for Wolfenstein 3D which used 320x200 natively.

Also would be good for the various PC side-scrolling platformers of that era which used similar resolutions.

Says “Full HD 1080p Support” under key features, then lists native resolution as 320 x 240 Pixels.

Can anyone tell me if I connect something via HDMI, will it actually show in real, regular 1080p?

No. It’ll DOWNSCALE your 1080p signal to 320x240.

Yeah, that feels a little sketchy to me. Native resolution means there are actually that many pixels in the physical display, so it can’t really display any resolution above that. The best it can do is downscale, and it’s a pretty serious stretch to call that “Full HD 1080p Support”.

This projector is perfect for someone building a DIY DLP Resin 3D printer with a build size of 1.5" x 1.0"

320x240? Might (only) be good for projecting with a MAME emulator.

Definitely NOT a projector to help with that decision. I’ve had three projectors and this one (which I tried and promptly returned from Amazon) is NOTHING like an everyday HD projector. Dim, low res etc etc. The projector I have now which throws a bright, 120", gorgeous 1080p, 3d picture is about $600- which is the lowest one would want to spend to get a serious viewing experience with a projector. Benq w1070 if anyone is wondering.

As stated previously, this may be fun here and there for the kids or maybe someone who doesn’t own a t.v., but might like to project a largish image once in a while ( they exist- my mother!). They are not indicative of a high quality, theater-like projector though. Not even close.

Only thing I could see this being cool for is if you jammed it into an R2 Model…then you could throw an image from it

Say I wanted to project text, like a spreadsheet with current projects in my 10x10 office… How would that fare? Also, any word on how noisy it is? Thanks!
