Hello. From the vendor:
Material content:
Blend of Merino Wool, Polyester, and Nylon.
30% merino Wool, 67% polyester, 3% nylon
I would believe 30% merino, wool, 67% polyester, and 3% nylon lol. Commas are important (speaking to the vendor, not you)
Ahh I didn’t read the fine print until I took it out of the package. Only 30% wool, shouldn’t be called a “wool blanket”. But I intend on using it as a carpet in a tent, it is very soft, should be durable, should suit my purpose well.
The wool whatever it is at thirty percent will provide some nice ground insulation. I never thought of doing that, I’ll try it next camping trip.
Personally this isn’t just a mistake it’s very intentionally misleading. You can’t call a blanket that is 75% nylon and polyester a “merino wool blanket”. It’s one of the reasons I’m working g with my Senator to introduce legislation requiring prominent displays of country of origin and content for internet sales. Woot isn’t some cute little small business, it’s Amazon. Misleading sales like this aren’t an innocent accident, they are a business model.
While it’s an Amazon company now, it’s way better than the mother ship. The main page doesn’t even want you to see customer q&a anymore, and here we have an open forum to discuss these products.
However I believe holding retailers responsible for providing accurate descriptions, are you saying Amazon is to blame if QOMOTOP brand says one thing and does another?
Chiming in here. I purchased “wool” socks. Took a look at the fiber content in small print. They were 1% wool.
Observation: Products that have a high wool content, you’ll see the manufacturers brag about it. Others with a low…well they try to hide it.
