I got one of these for $449 at Costco last year. It’s in the RV so we don’t use it full time. I have a bad lower back and I love it. Wake up with no pain! Way better than that crappy 4 inch piece of foam the RV came with.
“Air flow system has ventilating air ducts to create softness while maintaining balanced support”
That’s odd. Air ducts to create softness, not to cool the mattress?
Does anyone here live at an APO AE address? I really want one of these but the only selectable APO addresses were APO AA, and APO AP. What’s up with that?! Help, before this deal is GONE!!
Most foam mattresses are made out of highly flammable materials. I would not recommend one for anyone who might get trapped in a fire (extremely deep sleepers, the elderly, the infirm, etc).

Ohh Can this come back in 2 months?
I would totally buy it then since that’s when I’ll be needing a new mattress.

Don’t you have a closet/garage/shed? It is vacuum sealed so it will stay clean and fresh/new!!
My boyfriend has one of these; it is very, very comfortable.
On the other hand, it really retains heat, which, though nice in the winter, is not so nice in the summer. It smelled a little chemical-y for the first week or so, and some people have concerns about the safety of chemicals in foam mattresses. We got a zip-over mattress cover for dust mites.
Finally, it doesn’t have any bounce, which makes it…different for non-sleeping mattress activities. Not necessarily better or worse, but different.
If I bought this could I cut off pieces to get it from queen to full sized? How hard is memory foam to cut, and what tool would you use?

The proper tool for cutting blocks of foam is a heated wire. Not sure what the proper name is or where you might buy one, but if you are clever perhaps you can create your own. The heated wire cuts through foam like the proverbial hot knife through butter.
I have been sleeping on a memory foam mattress for about three years now…I love, love, LOVE it! At these amazing prices, I am now able to get my kids a memory foam mattress. In for three! Yay, Woot!!!
Don’t be foolish people, it’s not a true full 10" memory foam, it’s a little memory foam over traditional foam … wally world sells a similar mattress for the same price. You’ll do better w a true 4 inch memory foam over a traditional air mattress. I owned one of these type being sold here, gave it to my ex … peace

Do these get hot in the summer?
[/quote]
Nope, these pillow tops are WONDERFUL! They don’t get hot in the summer.

“Shipped vacuum sealed and compacted; once received, allow for expansion in a well ventilated area to remove chemical smell associated with compression”
I have this mental image of a tiny plastic wrapped cube arriving, and when you make a tiny nick in the plastic explosive decompression throws you across the room.

Plan a party on the day you want to open it. Have the camera ready!
Yes, in the summer they do get warm. They’re great in winter if you keep it cool. We heat with wood in the winter and it gets very warm in our house-- I’ve found memory foam to be nearly intolerable with the heat!

Let’s review the facts Ma’am.
Boyfriend.
Hand.
Retains Heat.
Smelled a little.
Bounce.
Better.
Different.
Conclusion…This Fella needs to make you his Wife!!
Too bad it’s NOT king size…when will king size gonna be on Woot? I need one’s !!!
I bought a spring mattress one time that came rolled up in a box - they had compressed it so it was only about 3 inches thick, then rolled it up and put it in a bag to keep it vacuum sealed. I pulled it out of the box and cut a slash in the plastic bag to let air in, and all of a sudden it unrolled itself and grew to 10 inches thick with a bang, never to be put back in the box again. Kinda like what you’re talking about
All mattresses are known to collect these things. That’s why anyone with allergies should already have a mattress cover around their mattress to keep the stuff already in in, and the stuff out out. My younger brother has allergies, so all of our mattresses at home have these covers.
These types of mattresses can end up being very heavy which makes changing the sheets a challenge. You do change sheets, don’t you?!

Hahaha. Good to know. I was wondering what said activities were like with a memory foam mattress. I was thinking of getting one, for the kids’ sake…
We got one of these three years ago. My wife LOVES it. I think it’s COLD. Really cold in winter. We sleep in separate beds now.
