Random Crap - How it all began...

Eternities ago
Before BOC or BOX, there was Random Crap
You had to buy three or you would not get Random Crap.
Each Crap was $1 and shipping $5

My first Random Crap - seen here, included a life size foam pizza, a bag of some sort and about two dozen 256MB Sansa music players… I still have one of the Sansa somewhere.

That’s awesome! Sadly, I wasn’t a wooter in 2008 to be able to participate in Random Crap, but I think that would have been fun too!

Fun times when bots triggered an automatic buy on the word “Random”. So many customers woke up to find they had purchased random socks, toys, electronics, etc.

I believe that the natural reaction is to be upset with Woot for confusing the bots.

Random Crap was so long ago, there was just one WOOT page and one item offered every 24 hours - if the item sold out, that was it until the next rollover - if the offering was Crap, you would have to look at a SOLD OUT crap page for 23 hours until the next rollover - the fun thing was it was literally random - so every night at rollover there were thousands of folks on line refreshing
