I bought a single door RCA fridge. I filled it w/ drinks and my daughter puts some of her leftovers in it. She said “this is the single most important purchase you ever made”
The door was a little wonky and I got a bit of buyers remorse but I’m back. I put a couple bungee cords on it and after a few days those squishy cords squished the ever livin bejeebers outta it and now it seals properly. the woot ceiling purchase has risen back to normal levels.
Link to reviews on the mother-ship. Flipping through the pictures, it appears shipping damage is the norm.
Key information missing on this otherwise-attractive unit. We have had for YEARS a GE-brand under-bar reffigerator with freezing compartment. Only problem with it is that it is NOT auto-defrost, so we have to do an ugly, un-fun process of defrosting it.
So, is this unit auto-defrosting? Fact that there’s no mention thereof seems to say that it is NOT…?
And is the 33" height “to the top of the hinge” actually the tallest point on the unit. If so, it will fit our under-bar slot, but, if not, we need to know its maximum height.
Thanks
This is a link to the user manual. It includes instructions on how to defrost.
(Please Note: I’m not employed by Woot, but I volunteer to help in the forums.)
woot, never put weigth on the listing
Your circling that poin in your scan does NOT take me to the user manual, which is probably going to tell me that it is NOT frost-free or auto-defrost. Why don’t you stop playing amateur and let WOOT - the seller - answer…?
Are you trying to click on the picture I posted to point you to the location of the user manual?
Because that won’t work.
That’s the funniest thing I’ve read all week. For DrA, it is manual defrost. I clicked on the link in the listing, not the pic.
I can see it now ![]()

Hey now. Be civil to our volunteer moderators and other customers.
These are being pulled from Amazon inventory so we don’t have a lot of information. Here it is on Amazon:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00Q477Z5Q
There’s a LOT of information in the linked manual. We don’t have the item on hand to measure the height for you.
Thanks. That unit seemingly DOES require owner’s defrosting of the unit. Defrosting of any unit that is “out in the open” is relatively easy, but one that is semi-permanently in a bar “insert slot” is a lot more complicated. By the way, as you are a regular employee with Woot, yes, there’s a more-seriious “lack of intromation” that you carry out almost every day, and sometimes more than once a day. On male jogger pants, casual pants, etc., your photos or drawings virtually ALWAYS show, on the top front of the pant, what looks to be the opening for a “fly,” But I got some from you that have NO fly, so I now have to ask on every one that might be of possible interest because whoever does your listings for those does not include that “important for males” information. I’m tying this at my upstairs office, wearing a wool-like pair of blue plaid jogger or whatever pants, with fly. The ones that don’t have the fly are sitting largely unused in my closet…
Yep, I agree. Unfortunately, we’re getting stuff (and info) from all over. Most often it’s Amazon and their features aren’t always complete. We’re trying to improve but it’s a hard job when you’ve got sales that only last a few days and you’ve got new ones to publish.
I’ve had what looks like this same model under the Haier brand for a few years now. It is a manual defrost, I usually do it a couple times a year. I needed something with a freezer and the ice cube storage of most single-door models wasn’t cutting it. It works fine and I’ve had no issues with it. I think I paid 199 for it at WalMart so this is a pretty good deal.
My identical Haier is 33 1/4" from the ground to the top of hinge / tallest point.
I agree with you. I’ve been a long time Wooter and have purchased an amazing variety of items here. I consider most to have been good to excellent bargains, with a few duds. I remember the one item a day, days before Amazon. What continues to annoy me is the number of people who expect to be spoon fed every possible detail and then gripe about it. A simple copy and paste of an items description to a browser can take you to Amazons listing ( if available ) and many others. This helps me feel if I am getting a bargain worth purchasing. If it doesn’t seem like a deal, move on. It’s not the end of the world.
I’m sure things could be made made better, but would probably not be cost effective for limited items.
No I’m not a moderator or helper, but feel Woot does a decent job of forwarding some good stuff at decent prices. Now if my empty basket would quit bothering me while I’m browsing!
If I’ve offended anyone with my rant, Oh Well!
Agreed. It has a discount for a reason. Might not always be a deep discount, or an optimal purchase, but in general the prices are often lower for many.
Hi.
So this is sold out but I bought one for my home office and if it comes up again, I might need to get one for my satellite office down at the pool…
NO DENTS, the shipping box was sturdy and showed no signs of rough treatment. Opened it from the bottom like the directions want you to do, let it rest a bit, then plugged it in on the middle setting and it has been holding (yes, I’m a little bit of a freak when it comes to food safety) appropriate temps in the freezer part along with the refrigerated section.
The one I received has a little bit of different configuration inside, but I like it better than what was pictured for the sale.
All in all, a sweet cool deal, thanks Woot.
Received mine with a corner smashed in. Woot CS was great. I got a replacement and I’m sending the dented one back to woot TX.
