Buyer Beware of Certified Refurbished- So I bought a certified Ring Pro doorbell, saved about 35% or so. The ad said nothing, one way or the other, about warranty, so, I assumed it was the same as all Ring Doorbells. Fast forward 2 1/2 months, The thing stopped working. After half an hour with elevated Tech Support, the CRS said there is no warranty, and she could offer me a 35% discount on a purchase on Ring.com to replace it. Guess what, I will not replace it. I see no reason to pay the same price 2 times, because Woot did not fully disclose at the time of sale.
That’s odd. What was the link of the listing?
I’d like to see it too. Woot! always lists their warranty.
Hi there. Sorry for the problems with the Ring. We list our warranties at the bottom of the features. As you’ll see on the sale you bought from, it does have a warranty:
Warranty: 1 Year Manufacturer Warranty
I’m sorry the Ring group wasn’t willing to help you. Please reach out to Woot! Customer Service.
From a browser, use the Woot! Customer Service form.
In the Woot! App, choose Account from the bottom navigation and then Support.
Note: Woot! Customer Service replies go to the email address on your Woot! account, not your Amazon login email if used/different.
Update: Looks like you reached out to Woot CS yesterday and they’ve given you a return label.
Would these be covered by Ring Protect Plus warranty if anything goes wrong with the device after the Woot warranty expires?
If the warranty is with Amazon/Ring, yes.
If the warranty is with Woot, no.
