These don’t look too shabby, but the only thing I can find about Regency is that it’s a brand that was acquired by Hinkley Lighting.
Don’t suppose anyone has experience with this brand? I do need to replace a couple of fans, and $80 is very tempting…
I saw this deal and passed. My Hunter fans are still working strong. Never heard of either of those brands and that strong discount with very over rated price tag just makes me wonder. Maybe a contractor or someone who does house renovations for flipping investment will advise on these. I only know that appliances now days are not built to last since development standards are to keep having consumers pay pay usually after warranty services are outdated. I usually buy refurbished items for my own use since they were rigorously tested and worn parts replaced. Which that always depends on if it’s a replicable verified manufacturer refurb. Just don’t want to pay more than new either unless its newest model.
It’s a good, inexpensive fan.
It’s not a $200 fan. In this case, you pay for what you get. Don’t buy because it looks like such a big discount. Buy it because it’s a good looking $79 fan.
1st glance, it looks good. But I’ll pass: no remote control, no LED lights. Is that too much to ask for an $80 fan? I don’t think so. I missed out on a $59 fan at the local big box. I’m sure they will have them again soon.
Got two of these during the last woot, I read up, the company was bought out and I was a little concerned. Still, it was for a room in the basement and a good price. These are well made, easy to put up, and have been quiet workhorses already. I changed the bulbs with ones I had, but even with that, far better than a name brand I bought recently for the other room in the basement.
Yea i either want LED or standard A19 bulbs, not candelabra.
Who paid $300 for these ugly ass fans new?
So my husband and his electrician friend say you will get every penny of what you paid worth and they were really grumpy when I go home from work and they were just about completed putting the fan up. Looks awesome in my opinion though and way way better then the one bare bulb I used to have. They say things didn’t line up and go together easy. They were short a screw and went to Lowes and got one, apparently neither had the correct type of screw, and it just didn’t go together well or feel as quality as my husband is used to, we do typically buy very expensive fans in the 300 to 500 range. (I have put in a couple cheap ones myself in past that he refused to do when i bought for the grand daughters room) but here’s the photo and it looks great once up and running. I don’t have my remote though hooked up to this one.
