Remington King of Shaves Kit

My Kroger brand razor shaves smoother and cleaner than this one!

If you use these in the shower they are great! I use them on my legs with some shaving cream and they get as close a shave as any expensive razor.

Overall I was impressed with the shave I got from these. I’ve never had any clogging issues with it. It was a little weird the first time since I have to hold the razor at a slightly different angle than the ones I’m used to. The biggest issue is blades last a week-and-a-half at best.

They’re fine for normal daily use, but if I want to make sure I’m nice and smooth for the GF, I fall back to the Fusion. I’d say KoS is better than the Schick Quattro and about on par with a Mach3. As much as I hate to pay the prices, Gillette might actually be “the best a man can get.”

I bought them last Woot-Time. They are junk… razor will not stay attached to the handle… Give $8.00 to charity before you buy these…

Some say to use these in the shower for better performance…

I shave everyday in the shower and these suck!

I gave a set to my 17-year old son. He said, “these suck.”

I bought mine several months ago, before we knew these suck. Now we know, and have shared with you, these suck. If you buy them, you will soon understand that these suck.

Exactly. This product alone has steered me away from buying more from woot. I’ve been one click away on a few other items then thoughts of this one remind me to do some research before buying here.

I gave up on this razor. My crappy 10 year old electric does a better job.

So I get that these are terrible for men who shave their faces, many given to their wives for their legs. So what about the ladies? Good/not so good?

I find that these don’t work well on my face, but do work quite well on other areas (chest, legs, back)

I love this remington king of shaves that I bought here in early december. Wet your face, lather up, shave. I don’t know why people have such problems with this razor. I have a fairly tough beard and I only shave about 2x a week so each shave is a work out for any blade, but this thing works as well as any other multi bladed razor that I’ve used and I’ve used most of them. I just changed blades for the first time today. But I do have two gripes about it, 1- I don’t like the U shape because that’s where I like to put my index finger. and 2- blade removal and replacement is not as easy as it should be.

That was the best comparison I’ve ever read about these craptastic razors. I’ve had the cartridge actually fall off while I was trying to shave with one and didn’t notice, because the bare plastic head of the razor was just about as effective.

How do you get them to last that long? Or do you only shave half your face every week and a half?

No kidding. I actually tested this with an 8 pac of Bics from the 99 Cent Store. Not only did I get a much closer shave with the single blade disposable, but it’s lasted for a few weeks now. With the Remington, I was lucky if it lasted for all of one shave.

If you don’t like the product, it’s okay to say so…if you think it’s a horrible product, it’s okay to say that too. However, it’s not okay to pick numbers out of thin air and say with any degree of accuracy that 95% of buyers are not happy with their purchase. Remember, happy buyers are the least likely to post their comments here.

I agree wholeheartedly! My facial hair is very easy, and usually a cheap double-blade razor will last as much as 6 months if I keep it clean, but the five blades require a LOT more effort to get smooth cut, maybe because you can’t get a good angle on the hair, and I have to replace them every month. Its the second disappointment I’ve ever bought from Woot. (First being a Roomba)

I really wish Woot! would stop selling these… I’m sure people buy them without reading the forums.

Besides the cheapest disposable razors, these have to be the worst that I’ve ever used.

These clog and are useless after one shave! Stick with Gelette!

These would be perfect if they actually removed hair from your face. Alas, they don’t.

Couldn’t agree more. I literally use these as if they were disposable razors. They clog after 1/2 a shave (no I’m not going to wash my razor with handsoap and water after each swipe) and their “comfort angle” technology prevents the blade from cutting well by not allowing for an optimal contact angle between hair and blade.

Woot, if you don’t believe these reviews, why not post a video of one of your crew shaving with them?

I bought these a couple of woots ago- IMHO, they suck! Now I have a bunch of useless razors…

I bought this last time offered thinking it was a great deal. While you get a lot of razors - my experience is that they are ineffective and a waste of time. I can shave my nake and face in 10 different directions and still not be as smooth as one stroke with a mach 3. Don’t waste your money
