It’s called google. Try it out sometime. Yes, Nintendo defends the copyright on ALL of their released games, the age does not matter.
Many of the games are also rip offs. Ex: Take the mario character and replace it with a fox.
That doesn’t make it your own game by changing a sprite and altering the title. Doesn’t work like that.

DO NOT BUY THIS. EVER.
It is a cheap Chinese knock-off of the NES Classic. The “600 games” included are just re-skins of games already in the system. This is basically what this thing is:
For $40 you WILL be disappointed.

Hi all WootStaff. Please stop selling this thing right now. You’ve been made aware of the unethical issues surrounding it. To leave it here is to endorse, and actively participate in theft. I’ve always loved Woot, but today, the longer this item stays available, I love you less and less.

It is called Trade Dress. You can’t design your product to look like another product for the purpose of consumer confusion. The product this is most like is not 20 years old. It’s 2 years old and still on store shelves (maybe you don’t know about the the NES Classic Mini) .
I’m not sure if it’s worth making calls to Japan but I do think it’s shady for a high profile site like Woot not to make it extremely clear this is not a NES Classic Mini and does not play high quality NES games (if it does then this thing is REALLY Illegal ). I do feel bad for anyone who thinks they are getting a retro pi or an actual NES Classic.

Oh, don’t worry… one of the 540-that-is-not-600 stolen roms is bound to be a poorly disguised and glitchy version of them.
Besides… you’ll get bored of this thing LONG before you spend enough time with it to complete Zelda or Dragon Warrior, and I guarantee whatever version of Castlevania is on here is so mis-timed that you’ll throw your controller through your “DDMI”-comapatble TV long before you’re able to complete them.
