Herd immunity only works if exposure to the virus confers long term immunity. No one knows how long antibodies confer immunity.
Another way to get rid of the virus is to stop spreading it. If no one has it, no one can catch it. Hence the masks and social distancing and stay at home orders. If everyone complied with virus prevention measures, the virus would disappear. Instead we keep pushing our luck figuring we’ll be part of the 80% that don’t get serious complications from the virus.

Agreed. Long term immunity is still only theoretical. In fact, there are already individuals who have gotten the virus twice. So, the theory’s foundation gets smaller and smaller as we learn more about how this virus works. As well as the realization that there isn’t a long “shelf life” of antibodies in those who have had the virus. Another aspect that diminishes that foundation of the long term immunity theory.
Unfortunately, so much misinformation is still surrounding us all regarding this virus. And, we have many gullible individuals in our country who believe this misinformation without even doing any simple fact checking at all.

Query: how well do these masks cooperate with eyeglasses? I’ve been having a problem that all the masks I get either don’t have a nose wire (and thus my glasses get fogged up) or they’re too big for my tiny face.

I received my 12 masks today. These things are tiny… They would only really fit a child… I had to stretch the one I cut out of the package and it’s still extremely tight. They will fit a tiny face just fine…

Keep this in mind if these come up for sale again. I really, really wish I had only bought 6 instead of 12. These masks will not fit you if you have a large face. I tried them on 3 different adults and none of them could get them to fit acceptably, I did stretch one out in the extrema in order to get it on my face. Oh one more thing, they have a strong chemical smell to them.

Can confirm this from personal experience with these masks. Way too tight for my face so will be giving these to smaller faced people.
The layering seems a bit thin as well. I was able to see through it under a light. It does come with a certification note that it’s been inspected.

These are a waste of money. First they are not cotton, they are polyester meaning they are not breathable, they are not quality material for protection and they are thin. Made in China - obviously. Worthless pos.

These are absolutely terrible quality. As everyone else has said, they don’t stretch at all and don’t fit anyone with a decent sized head. You can see right through them when you hold them up to a light as well. The quality is about what I could have sewn using scrap materials, and I don’t know how to sew.
Waste of money. Really disappointed in woot on terrible quality product here. I get if it was a bag of crap, but this is terrible.

Do not waste your money if purchasing for face covering during Covid. As stated, after I purchased them, you can see right through them and they do not fit a medium sized adult. 2/5 stars. These are pretty terrible. If you want a cute mask for kids, I guess. Way overpriced, they are so cheap and flimsy, they do NOT fit on my face (average size adult male) and they feel like a skimpy piece of felt, I regret buying this. oops.

I just got these in the mail. Like others have said, they have zero stretch. Also, the material is incredibly thin and flimsy. It is thin enough that you can see light through it. I bought some Hanes masks because these took so long and they are much better and cheaper than these.

Thank you for the picture and to everybody else that commented. I currently have a black mask I got at a gas station that is actually really nice. I figured if a gas station mask turned out to be decent, these probably would be too. I’m glad I read the comments first, guess I’ll just grab another at the gas station to have a spare.
It’s a shame to see companies making products like this. I know capitalism and profit margins are always important to companies/people/the universe as a whole, but I’d really hoped that we’d see fewer “make them as cheap as humanly possible” products related to the pandemic as the entire world is in the same boat. From hoarding to price gouging to scam “covid curing toothpaste” and other ridiculousness, this entire event had lowered my faith in humanity even more, and don’t even get me started on the politics of it.

These are junk. Fit most doesn’t include me, but did fit my 4 yr old grandson. Material has a nasty smell to it, maybe wash first?
For $12 buy 50 disposable masks at Sam’s.

You missed my point. How can you confirm the quality of my mask when I wear it? What facts do you have about what I am wearing? Do we walk around certifying each others masks, or do we assume any mask or covering will benefit? That is fact my friend. So, we see a mask or covering on someone else, assume it is helping even if it is less than minimal, thus proving my point of the psychological benefit you are receiving by seeing half of my handsome face wearing a mask.
Who cares.
