We have one like this. Pretty cool to play catch with, but takes practice to get the angle just right.
Can not wait for my grandchildren’s 2 too get here. Now I’m needing to figure out how to open 1 of the packages, play my butt off with it, (hahaha 
!), then rewrap it back up as if it was brand new…and put it under the Christmas 
tree!!

Also… Keep long hair away from the orb. Otherwise, it’s very safe.
This is a piece of junk. It was intended as a Christmas gift. We tested it when it arrived and the lights broke almost immediately. Money down the drain.

On the one we have, one of the lights would turn off as the battery drained. Try fully charging it?
Does not fly. Makes a lot of noise, flashing lights and rolls around on the floor sometimes bouncing a few inches in air. Very disappointing. Contrary to the instructions included, the start button is not reachable using just a finger. I had to use a pencil tip to access it.
The one I got will not turn on. It charges at 5v 0.5a because it gets warm, but that’s it. Second defective product I got from woot in a week.
Exactly my feelings. Total waste. Charged for 1 hour before we even started (says full charge in 25 minutes). if it would at least move around on the floor it could be a half-butt cat toy for our two Norwegian Forest cats (think Maine Coon - just different colors and about 20 lbs. each - BIG boys, not fat) but they just sniffed it and walked away…
Hi there. If you’re having problems with the orb, make sure you reach out to Woot! Customer Service. To speed things up, let them know if you prefer a return/refund or a replacement (if possible).

Make sure you all read the instructions on how to turn it on. Ours you had to turn it upsidedown or something.
Also make sure it’s right side up if it’s not flying. The air should be blowing down towards the floor.
I can’t even charge it because I can’t get the thing connected TO charge.
tried this out. Few issues:
- The led light strip disconnected after 2 times trying to fly it. Poor design choice for the strip
- The orb flies mostly but needs a bit of a push. Make sure you point the switch/button up otherwise it will into the ground
- kind of fun to pass it back and forth.
- concerned the mesh around the ball will break/crack. This could expose wee hands to the blade underneath resulting in serious damage (read: cut someone’s hands). Please be careful with this and do not give to young kids, or pets of any kind.
I may see about returning it given the led strip breaking requires cutting off with scissors.

Of course it was cheaper when we bought it. Good quality. None of the issues described here.
I had the same problem, this product is a piece of junk, made very poorly! Had another brand on Christmas and that one flew perfectly and felt much more durable, this one is flimsy and doesn’t have enough thrust to fly, just blows around on the floor when you let it go. Tried fully charging twice. Also won’t turn off when shaking as it’s suppose to.
