RG Cosmic Flying Orb Toy

RG Cosmic Flying Orb Toy

One picture shows “upgraded design” (with larger 200 mah battery) the very next picture shows “original design” (with 180 mah battery). Do you know which product we would receive?

[TT: we’re selling the updated version.]

This does not work as described, all it does it turn to the side and fly into the wall.
It is also impossible to turn off since the power button is inside the device on the spinning part, so once you turn it on you have to wait for the battery to die.
I will be returning the one that I bought.

I was quite disappointed in these. They take a lot of practice/skill to be able to use them. I thought my grandkids would enjoy them, but now I think they would be too frustrated.

Cons:
The tricks it claims can be done are not easy in real life.
On/off switch & charge plug are VERY hard to reach.

Pros:
Cats love it & are not scared!
When it careens around the floor, it does not break.

PS: The “always comes back to you hand” is total BS.

High learning curve. Shake hard to turn off or fly it into a wall. Kids haven’t broken it yet  Teenage kids or above Skill set - They have learned to play catch with it. Like that all the parts are inside so you can crash it anywhere without it breaking. Not sure how the “OG” is but happy with the purchase for the Woot price.

Piece of crap. 1st attempt at flying, it flew straight into wall, hit the floor, and the lighting strip came loose which made the whole thing off balance and un-flyable. Requested refund and received it.

I think the trick to these is it is basically a flying gyroscope. It you want to pass, tilt it towards someone, if you want to boomerang, tilt towards yourself and throw

Feel obligated to comment. I bought one. After trying it twice the led lights broke off and nicked or hands when it spun. We had to cut the lights. It works mostly but is absolutely not worth $16

Remember that you have a warranty:

Warranty:**** Lifetime Warranty

I actually had one like this in my shopping cart at the mothership and coincidence they’re on sale here cheaper. After reading all the negativity I’m considering something else. Thanks forum members

I bought one a couple of weeks ago. There is a learning curve but I love it. I toss it (more like fly it) back and forth to my wife across the living room for about 20 minutes until it dies. Pretty fun. As far as turning it on and off, pen or pencil works great . Just tap on the switch. I just ordered 3 more. They are half as much as the lowest I could find on Amazon.

The warranty link is for glasses, not the flying orb

It’s correct. They handle the warranty for the drones.

Great, thanks

I purchased one in November and gifted it for Christmas. We played with it indoors a few times totalling less than two hours. It didn’t do what I expected, but we still had some fun playing a slightly unpredictable game of catch. The gears disengaged a couple of times but I was able to put it back on track. One of the gears had a tooth chewed up and it stopped being usable. I contacted the warranty listed above and they said that they did not authorize sales from Amazon so they didn’t support warranty and to try Amazon. I asked if they sold replacement gears and they politely told me that they do not.
