Rip Van Wafel Snickerdoodle (36)

Rip Van Wafel Snickerdoodle (36)

I wouldn’t call these snickerdoodles, unless the image is wrong. The term they’re looking for is “stroopwafel”. Rip van Wafels is a good brand though, they’re commonly sold on the a la carte during flights and they’re not too sugary which is where a lot of prepackaged stroopwafels go wrong.

I believe these are snickerdoodle flavored stroopwafels. It looks like the package even says “snickerdoodle”.

Yes, this is not an authentic snickerdoodle. It’s a stroopwafel and I think they’re trying to flavor it like a snickerdoodle, although the flavor of a snickerdoodle is cinnamon, which is in any authentic Dutch stroopwafel anyway. I’ve tried this brand. I find it dry and not flavorful. The best ones are served on United Airlines and First Class on American Airlines. I think the name is Dalman’s. I get them at the checkout of CVS too, and I think they’re larger. I love stroopwafels and love snickerdoodles but would pass on this one.

However, that Northwest Bierhaus Jerky is lookin mighty tasty. Anyone here ever try it?

Price on these is ridiculous - you can find them many places for MUCH less. Head over to Costco and get 24 stroopwafels for $8.99. (Or just buy these for almost 3x more to get that snickerdoodle flavor.)
