Anyone have experience with refurb robot vacuums on Woot? This model interests me, but wondering what the refurb experience is generally like on here. Cheers

The one I got had no issues, was clean. There might have been a few strands of hair on the brushes, but even that I am not sure of, a very small amount if any.

As a warning there are complaints about the app. In particular I have not been able to schedule the robot to clean a particular room, for that I have to bring the app up and click clean every time for it to begin cleaning. This means if there is a room where the robot gets stuck, I cannot use the scheduler, so I don’t use the scheduler. The lidar works very well, the robot rarely gets lost or stuck and sticks to areas designated on the map. It’s possible people use it once, hate the app and return it. Or maybe you can get lucky and Shark fixed the software.

I have 2 units very similar to this, and bought a thirs as a gift for my parents. I love them, and this units even better than the ones i have for the same price. As is always mentioned the only downside is the software, its not terrible but you cant schedule specific rooms. You can clean specific rooms or areas but you have to command it each time. For me this is no problem because i want everything cleaned all at once.

What model number is this? Is it different than the one that was listed last week, the UR2500SR, https://www.woot.com/offers/shark-ur2500sr-ai-ultra-robot-vacuum-13

I have had 2 refurbished from Woot and my first one is still kicking after 4 years and my other has stopped the wheels after 2 years. I want to look and see if I can fix it, but can’t find the tool that fits, so will try when I find that tool in my house (I know it’s here SOMEWHERE… maybe Shark sucked it up ) . If it can’t be fixed, at least I have one that lasted a while and now I have extra parts for my other one if needed (a whole lot cheaper than the parts are too).
Have not been able to clean -a- room with the app, but that doesn’t bother me, having 3 cats and 3 dogs furing up the house.

Vacuum is the same, but this one has the slightly larger XL base, so it can empty itself a few more times before getting full.

Reposting my comments from a previous listing. Only difference is that this sale includes the larger XL base (read: bigger trash can)

Got one from a previous Woot as a replacement for an older model Shark. It definitely has more power, and the mapping feature has worked fine for me.

Like with all Sharks, the biggest drawback is their terrible, terrible app. It’s slow to launch, slow to update status, and seems to only apply half the settings I try to set on the first attempt. As an existing Shark owner, I knew I just had to muscle through the initial setup until I could get the mapping/scheduling completed. After that I’m typically pretty hands-off and just let the vacuum run on schedule. If you’re the type who likes to do things from the app on a regular basis, steer very clear of any Shark products.

Note for existing robot vacuum owners: this model does not recognize magnetic boundry strips. It rolled right over all of the boundries I had set up for my previous Shark. Boundries for this model are controlled strictly via the mapping feature.
Pro Tip: these come with single-brush side brushes, but you can get generic triple-brush replacements that make a ton of difference, especially with larger items like cereal pieces & kibble. These are the ones I ordered, but you can just do a search for “Shark UR2500SR Side Brushes” and find others.

My standard advice (I have 2 of these from woot): Do NOT accept the map after the first run until you are 100% happy with it. It will have wording that makes it sound like it continues to improve the map after you click “accept” but it will NOT.

So, I saw you make a similar comment on a previous listing for one of these and it made me pay extra attention the next couple of times I sent out my vacuum to clean. When I did the initial mapping, I had intentionally left a couple of doors closed (bathrooms and closets). So I opened a couple of the closet doors and set the vacuum to clean. Interestingly, it did enter the closets and clean. However, it did not add the space to the map, even after multiple cleaning cycles. So it will still enter into areas not on the map, but it will never add those spaces to the map (which obviously means you won’t be able to define them or add exclusion zones within them).

Thanks for the tips. VERY helpful!

We got one last week. Had not been cleaned. Dirty filter. Made our house stink like someone 's dirty home. Kind of makes me question why they call it refurbished instead of used

It is not that model cuz i ordered one thinking it was based off your comment and the ad saying it has the clean edge technology and is not at all what I got today and is advertised wrong in the ad showing it has clean edge and it doesn’t. I got model RV2520A0US which really disappointed me because i wanted the clean edge model and the model you said it was.

I did contact them because I want the model that I ordered and when I went thru the process it shows it should be the model you said so I don’t know why I didn’t receive the correct model. They definitely need to correct this error. I cancelled the other shark vacuum order because they offered this better model for the same price a few days later and wanted this one and that cancellation went smoothly so hopefully this correction will go smoothly as well. It shouldn’t be advertised as that model if thats not the one they are shipping out to customers.

At this point, we only know that you got the wrong item. CS will help you out. We’ve sold over 300 from this sale and this is the first report I’ve heard of.

They said they dont have anymore but are still selling the product under the same ad which I screen shot and sent to them and asked how they dont have anymore but still selling it so I really hope they get me the correct item that I ordered. Of course I’m the only one who gets the wrong item because thats my luck. I really want the vacuum I ordered.
