Hello All, I purchased the 500w generator and the 100w solar panel. The model number of the panel should be RP082. The box that showed up says rockpals but the model number says RP100. I thought the 100 may be the newer version of the 082 so I tried to look it up.
Rockpals site doesn’t mention them ever having that model so I looked everywhere online for it.
I found the RP100 on a scam website and it matches the panel that was sent to me.
I contacted woot and asked for the correct one and they said they can’t send it to me because everyone who ordered the RP082 actually received the knockoff version so there’s no way they could send me a replacement. They offered me $35 to keep the knockoff but who knows if it even works. I sent them a link to the Amazon page where the real one is sold but it doesn’t look they will do the right thing. I will be disputing the charges with my bank instead of accepting a refund. False advertisement in California is a serious crime, civilly and criminally.
Hi there. I’ve sent an email to our team to check this out. I did find an RP100 on ebay. It’s possible it’s a model created especially for a large retailer.
Let CS know that you would like to return it for a full refund. They’ll provide you with a return label.
I contacted Rockpals and they say they don’t have the RP100 model. I don’t want a refund, I want the product that I ordered. This is the second time Woot has sold me a knockoff. Last time is was $30 so I just got the refund. This order cost me $560 I sent woot a link to the correct product but they say they won’t order it. I don’t like people or companies that lie and steal.
I believe it was intentional on Woot’s part so I am in the process of disputing the charge and filing
A complaint with the BBB. I’ve been a loyal customer for at least 12 years. They were great before it became an Amazon company.
